The Schedule Table in the General Tab shows you your selected Activities' Baseline Schedule Start and Finish dates and compares it when your selected Activities actually Started and when they are projected to Finish
The information you will see in this table is:
Original Start Date – This date is based on the earliest original planned date based on the current Baseline
Original Finish Date – This date is based on the latest original planned date based on the current Baseline
Original Duration = Original Start Date – Original Finish Date
- Developer's Tip: For all Original Dates and any calculations using them, a complete Baseline Schedule of all Activities must be set for this calculation to take place. If there are Project Schedule Activities not Date Stamped, a link that says “Not Set” will appear in place of the calculated figure that directs the User to the Date Stamp window
Current Start Date –This date is based on the earliest projected or actual historical date
Current Finish Date – This date is based on the latest projected date. If all Activities have been completed, it will be based on the last actual date
Current Duration = Current Start Date – Current Finish Date
Start Date Variance = Original Start Date – Current Start Date
Finish Date Variance = Original Finish Date – Current Finish Date (Projected or Actual)
Duration Variance = Original Duration – Current Duration (Projected or Actual)
In addition to these calculations, you can choose to see the Duration calculations in either Working days or Calendar days by using the Work Days or Calendar Days selections
- When Calendar Days is selected, non-working days are taken into account in Duration calculations
- When Working Days is selected, non-working days are not taken into account in Duration Calculations. This is the default selection.
